Are you a Coda pursuing your undergraduate education – or do you know one? The Coda International Millie Brother Scholarship Committee is now accepting applications for our annual award, from 1 January 2024 to 29 February 2024. The scholarship awards up to $3,000 toward academic costs for several students across the world each year.

Nominate to Distinguished Service Award

We are looking for recipients for the 2024 awards. If you know someone who has contributed much to the CODA organisation, please send that nomination with a description of what they have done for CODA. Last day to nominate is 30 March 2024. Criteria for consideration is:

  • current voting membership (previous recipients and current Board members excluded),
  • longevity and consistency of membership,
  • active role in the organisation,
  • dedication to the CODA mission.

Creative Codas Panel Discussion

All members are invited to view a recording of the Creative Codas Discussion Panel in the Video Archive located in the Video Archives of our website. If you wish to join CODA International as a member (if you are 18 years or older and have at least one deaf parent), join here.

US Embassy in Seoul shows the way

CODA and CODA Korea have been awarded a USD $45,000 grant from the US Embassy in Seoul, South Korea to implement a Peer-to-Peer Capacity Building and Youth Development Training. By cooperating between Coda organizations we get smarter together.

CODA Midwest Retreat

CODA Midwest (Region 3) held a retreat , 26-29 October at Hocking Hills State Park Lodge. It included cookout, hiking trails, waterfalls, workshops, and Sasquatch hunting. CODASQUATCH October 26 - 29, 2023

CODA Midwest strives to serve the needs of individuals with deaf parents residing in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

2023 Conference Colorful Coda

2023 CODA International Conference, Colorful CODA, was held in Incheon, South Korea 27 June -2 July. This was made in cooperation with CODA International and Coda Korea.

Deaf Parents Day Celebration April 27

The last Sunday in April is designated Deaf Parents Day (also known as Mother Father Deaf Day).This is a day that codas around the world acknowledge and celebrate our deaf parents. Last year, CODA International arranged a 6 hour Zoom chat. We  shared stories of our beloved Deaf parents as well as catching up.
